The Calvary Independent Baptist Church is a Bible-teaching, Bible-preaching, and Bible-believing church which is not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ. The word Gospel means good news. What is the good news of Christ or Gospel of Christ all about?

The Gospel of Christ is that though "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23), and though the "the wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23), and though this death includes the second death which involves being "cast into the lake of fire" (Revelation 20:14); the good news of the Gospel of Christ is that Jesus "came to seek and to save that which was lost" (Luke 19:10). This means that Jesus came to save people from hell. "Christ died for our sins . . . was buried, and . . . rose again" (I Corinthians 15:3,4) so as to save you from hell. That is great news! This is the Gospel of Christ.

This wonderful salvation can be yours if you will come to Jesus. Good works, baptism, Mary, or church attendance cannot save. Only Jesus can save for "neither is there salvation in any other" (Acts 4:12). If you have not done so, we invite you to acknowledge that you are a lost sinner, unable to save yourself; and go to Jesus in prayer and ask Him to save you. The Bible says, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Romans 10:13).
