Statement of Faith

The following list concisely states the beliefs of the Camp Harvest, a ministry of the Calvary Independent Baptist Churches of Tilton, Plymouth, and Lebanon, NH. For a more detailed summary of beliefs, please read our entire Statement of Faith by clicking the following link: Detailed Statement of Faith.

  1. We believe that all the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament are verbally inspired by God; they are preserved without error unto this day and forever; and they are the only authority for faith and practice. We also believe that the King James Version is God's perfect Word in the English language.

  2. We believe in one God, creator, and sustainer of the universe, Who is eternally existent in three persons - God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

  3. We believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, His death to pay the penalty for our sins, His bodily resurrection, His exaltation at God's right hand, and His personal, imminent, and pre-tribulation return.

  4. We believe that all men have sinned. Therefore, all men are guilty before God and will face eternal condemnation if they do not repent.

  5. We believe that any and all who receive Jesus Christ by faith are born again of the Holy Spirit; therefore, they are the children of God and eternally saved. The Holy Spirit dwells within every believer to enlighten, guide, and enable him in life, testimony, and service.

  6. We believe that God gives spiritual gifts to all believers for the building up of the body of Christ. However, we believe that some gifts of the Spirit (such as tongues and healings) were limited to the early church. We believe that God answers the prayers of His people and meets their needs according to His purpose.

  7. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and unjust. The saved will be raised to dwell eternally with God in Glory; the lost will face everlasting, conscious punishment in the Lake of Fire.

  8. We believe that all believers are called to a life of separation. This includes separation from all worldly, sinful practices and alliances and also from false worship and false religion.

  9. We believe God's people should love one another as a sign to the world that we are Jesus' disciples. The Bible defines love as the keeping of God's Commandments (II John 6); two of which concern separating from certain brethren (II Corinthians 5:9-11; II Thessalonians 3:6,14). . .
