Information for Youth Leaders and Sponsors

Some Youth Pastors and Sponsors have asked if they can come to camp. The answer is a resounding YES!! We want you to feel welcome at our camps, and we want you to be part of the Lord's working in the hearts and lives of your young people. Please contact us to specifically talk about your involvement in our camp.

If you are working for us during the week of camp, you do not need to pay for camp. However, if you are not invovled in the camp but still want to come, we ask that you pay the $175 just like a camper would. If the sending church took on the burden of paying the camp fee for any leaders, counselors, and others that come to camp, it would be helpful to us in keeping the cost of camp lower.

Please also consider supporting Camp Harvest Ministries. Some churches have taken love offerings to help send campers to camp and also help us with our bottom line. Contact Pastor Tom Morrill for greater details and information.



Counselor Training

It is our goal to provide an atmosphere that is conducive to Spiritual growth. In light of that goal, it is imperative that our counselors be fully trained and organized before the week of camp begins. In an effort of achieving this goal, the following steps are being implemented:

  • Approval of Counselors

    • All potential counselors will be interviewed over the phone by the Director and be required to undergo a criminal and sexual offenders background check before being given approval to attend camp as a counselor. The reason for this step is to ensure that the counselors are spiritually capable of counseling and mature enough to fulfill their responsibilities as a counselor.

    Please fill out the 2015 Counselor and Staff Application to begin the approval process. This form will be available soon.

  • Training of Counselors

    • Starting in August, times will be coodinated to train the counselors in our philosophy, focus, and goals. Instruction will be given as to each counselor's role and responsibilities. Training will consist of a commitment of a few hours for one evening. This training will be conducted as a group through internet webcam software.

  • Availibility of Staff

    • We want you to be confident in your role as a counselor. We want to answer your questions and support you. Feel free to contact us with questions anytime of the day.
